Chrismas Ogden Finds a New Home at Atelier, Lewes

At Oakley Property, we love helping local businesses grow and thrive, and recently we had the pleasure of working with Sonia Chrismas, founder of Chrismas Ogden, a leading conveyancing firm in Lewes.

Earlier this year, Sonia got in touch with us when she needed to relocate from her old High Street offices, looking for a space that could support the expansion of her business. After several meetings, Chris Oakley, Oakley Property Founder and Executive Chairman, met with Sonia at the Atelier development, where we worked together to find the perfect solution.

Atelier, situated in a central location within the heart of the Historic Town of Lewes, within the South Downs National Park, is a modern workspace designed to bring creativity and community together. It’s home to a variety of businesses and offers contemporary studios that are flooded with natural light, surrounded by landscaped gardens, and set within walking distance of the vibrant town centre of Lewes. Atelier has become a hub for local professionals who value quality workspace, community spirit, and excellent transport links, including easy access to London and Brighton.

Sonia was immediately drawn to the space at Atelier. As she explains:
"We chose our unit at Sketch Place for its space and natural light—it has a perfect double aspect. It was a blank canvas for our company rebrand, and we’ve created a modern, colourful, and welcoming environment for our clients to visit and for us to work. The location is superb, offering easy access for clients and visitors. We love our new 'home'!"

Although Sonia’s main concern was the potential cost of fitting out the office, we structured a deal that helped alleviate some of those concerns, making the move much more manageable. It’s been wonderful to see how Sonia has transformed the space into a functional and stylish office that reflects her company’s new branding. The studio now features standout interior décor pieces, a vibrant colour scheme, and an open, airy feel, making it a welcoming environment for both staff and clients.

Atelier’s unique design played a big part in making this possible. The development offers state-of-the-art office spaces that are adaptable and customisable, allowing businesses like Chrismas Ogden to put their stamp on the premises. It also boasts fantastic facilities, including bike storage, parking, and landscaped communal areas for tenants to enjoy. With its modern feel and excellent location, Atelier continues to attract innovative businesses in a range of industries.

For those interested in moving their business to a space like Sonia's, Atelier currently has two units remaining. These studios provide the same light-filled, flexible workspace that has proved so popular with existing tenants. We are pleased to announce that having just secured a deal on two more units at Atelier to a local business, it now looks as though we only have two of the 13 units left to find occupiers for. The units are designed with such flexibility that they can cater for retail, office, health and fitness and a wide range of other uses, with units from 650 sq.ft. up to 1,800 sq.ft.

We’re thrilled to see Chrismas Ogden thriving in their new space, and we wish Sonia and her team all the best in their new “home.” If you're looking to relocate or expand your business in Lewes, get in touch with us—we’d love to help you find the perfect space at Atelier!
