Championing Local Causes and Community Spirit

Championing Local Causes and Community Spirit

At Oakley, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. Join us in celebrating the incredible efforts of our team members who are going the extra mile to support fantastic local charities and events.

Community is at the heart of everything we do at Oakley. We are incredibly proud of our team members who consistently demonstrate dedication not only in their professional roles but also in their commitment to local fundraising and events. Their efforts truly embody the community spirit we champion.

Running for a Cause: Supporting ESTEEM

We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on the remarkable fundraising efforts of two of our own, Andy Hovey and David Beaken, who are both lacing up their running shoes to support ESTEEM, a vital Shoreham-based charity. ESTEEM provides invaluable support to young adults aged 14-26, helping them to gain confidence, develop life skills, and transition into independent adulthood. Their work is crucial in empowering the next generation, and we are delighted to see our team contribute to such a worthy cause.

Andy Hovey Takes on the London Marathon

Andy is preparing to tackle the iconic London Marathon. This isn't Andy's first foray into challenging endurance events; he previously completed an ultra-marathon alongside David Beaken, showcasing his incredible determination. We wish Andy the very best in his training and on race day. If you would like to support Andy's incredible effort for ESTEEM, CLICK HERE

David Beaken's Brighton Marathon Challenge

David is also taking on a significant challenge: the Brighton Marathon 2026. David has set himself an ambitious goal, to beat his 24 year old self's marathon time of 4 hours and 50 minutes! This personal quest, combined with his dedication to ESTEEM, where he is a volunteer mentor, shows huge commitment and determination. We'll be cheering David on every step of the way. Kathryn Groves is Celebrating Local Arts: Crossing the Screen Film Festival

Beyond athletic feats, our team also contributes significantly to local cultural events. Kathryn Groves is dedicating her time and creative talents as a Lead Volunteer and TikTok creator for the Crossing the Screen: Eastbourne Film Festival 2026. This upcoming festival marks its 10th anniversary, promising a fantastic celebration of cinema in Eastbourne. Kathryn's involvement highlights the diverse ways our team engages with and enriches the local community, supporting the arts and bringing vibrant events to life.

Join Us in Making a Difference

The commitment shown by Kathryn, Andy & David exemplifies the spirit of Oakley Property. We are more than just a property company; we are an integral part of the communities we serve. We encourage everyone to consider supporting these fantastic initiatives, whether through a donation, sharing their fundraising pages, or simply spreading the word about the incredible work of ESTEEM and the Crossing the Screen Film Festival.
